School & Institutional Composting Programs
Prema’s Permaculture & Composting works with schools, districts and campuses to build composting and garden programs that students actually work in. We help plan the program, set up the site, train the staff and students who will run it, and collaborate on the grant applications that pay for it.
What We Do With Schools
- Composting programs. Designing and setting up a composting system on your campus, sized to what the site and the staff can realistically handle, and training the people who will run it.
- School gardens. Planning and building growing space students can work in, and the practices that keep it going from one year to the next.
- Hands-on learning. Sessions delivered alongside your teachers, so students do the work rather than watch it.
- Grant collaboration. Working with you on applications so a program has funding behind it rather than depending on one year of budget.
Who This Is For
- School districts
- Individual schools, elementary through high school
- Colleges and universities
- Institutions with grounds, a kitchen or a food service operation
